Wepinion FAQ

Question 1

How do I get honest opinions from friends about a decision?

Accepted Answer

Create a decision on Wepinion with your options and context, then share the private link with your friends. Each person votes independently and can add reasoning explaining their choice. Because votes are submitted individually rather than discussed in a group, you get honest opinions without groupthink.

Question 2

What app helps groups make decisions together?

Accepted Answer

Wepinion is built specifically for group decisions. Create a decision with your options, share the link with your group, and everyone votes on their own time. The vote tally and reasoning from each voter are visible to all participants, making it easy to reach consensus.

Question 3

Can I use AI and human opinions together for decisions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The ideal workflow is to use an AI assistant to analyze your decision and narrow your options, then post on Wepinion to collect real human perspectives. AI handles the analytical reasoning; Wepinion provides the genuine human signal. AI assistants can even help you draft the Wepinion post and generate a pre-filled link to make the handoff seamless.

Question 4

Do I need an account to create a decision on Wepinion?

Accepted Answer

You can start creating a decision without an account. Wepinion lets you set up your title, context, and options before asking you to sign up. This keeps the process frictionless so you can capture your decision while it is fresh in your mind.

Question 5

How is Wepinion different from Reddit or StrawPoll?

Accepted Answer

Reddit gives you unstructured discussion threads; Wepinion gives you structured votes on specific options with reasoning attached to each vote. StrawPoll collects clicks without providing decision context; Wepinion includes the full context so voters understand what they are weighing in on. Wepinion also offers privacy controls that neither Reddit nor StrawPoll provide.

Question 6

What kinds of decisions can I post on Wepinion?

Accepted Answer

Anything you are genuinely trying to decide. Career choices, purchase dilemmas, naming decisions, travel planning, creative direction, daily choices, and group logistics all work well. Wepinion supports binary (yes/no), multiple choice, slider scale, open text, and clickable image overlay formats to match different decision types.

Question 7

How does voting work on Wepinion?

Accepted Answer

Voters view your decision context and options, select their choice, and submit their vote. They can optionally write reasoning explaining why they chose that option. You see both the vote tally and all reasoning, giving you the quantitative result and the qualitative perspectives behind it.

Question 8

Can I share a decision privately with specific people?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Set your decision to private visibility and share the direct link only with the people you want to vote. Only people with the link can see and vote on the decision. You can also share within a Wepinion circle (a community group) for semi-private decisions visible to members only.

Question 9

Is Wepinion free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Wepinion is free to use for creating decisions, voting, joining circles, and participating in the community. There is no cost to create or share decisions.

Question 10

Can I track what I decided after collecting votes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After collecting votes and making your choice, you can record the outcome on Wepinion. This closes the loop, lets voters see what you decided, and builds a personal history of decisions and outcomes over time.
